Our Guild Workshops will be posted here

The San Juan County Textile Guild offers educational workshops taught by acclaimed instructors. Fees vary by teacher and the number of students registered. Workshops are held at various venues across the islands.

Pine Needle Basketry Workshop


San Juan Textile Guild is offering a new weekend class to learn to make a pine needle basket.

Tara Hernandez will teach us a coiling technique with pine needles to create a beautiful vessel with a lid.

When: November 1-2 10:00-4:00

Where: The Grange, Friday Harbor

Workshop Fee: $190*

*The workshop tuition does not include the supplies fee. The supplies fee of $30 will be paid directly to Tara Hernandez at the workshop.

Supplies include full color handout, prepared pine needles, gauge, needle and cotton cord, beeswax and large bead for lid handle.
