SAN JUAN ISLAND TEXTILE GUILD |
WELCOME TO OUR NEW SITE!
A LITTLE ABOUT WHO WE ARE
San Juan County Textile Guild is an ANWG-affiliated guild located in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The purpose of the guild is to promote the exchange of ideas and educate our membership and the public in a wide range of fiber arts.
Our guild includes members with all levels of expertise, from beginners to professionals. We learn from each other as well as from nationally renowned teachers, designers, and fiber artists.
Most members live on five islands in the Salish Sea: Lopez Island, Orcas Island, San Juan Island, Shaw Island and Waldron Island. We also welcome off island members who spend time in our island community. We all share a common interest in textile and fiber arts including basketry, beading, crocheting, dyeing, felting, knitting, needle work, rug hooking, spinning, weaving, and quilting.
We Made The Parade! We yarn bombed a car and had a blast doing it! The end result was a big hit with parade attendees! A huge thank you to all the members who contributed to the fun. UPDATE! We WON!! "Best Costumed Vehicle!" |
